Need-to-Knows about State and Federal Report Cards
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
1/15/2026
Students aren’t the only ones that get report cards! Schools do too! This year, we have report card overload with 2024 and 2025 State Report Cards AND 2025 Federal Report Cards all needing public release to your parents and community. The State Report Cards deadline is first, and the Federal deadline follows; however, you might want to consider releasing them all together. It’s your call! inSchools has compiled the chart below to assist you with understanding the distribution requirements.
The inSchools Federal Team pulls report cards for our partner schools and provides a deeper level of support with notification letters and on-call availability!
Where are the report cards located?
The Texas Education Agency website has separate online locations for each type of report card. It is the responsibility of central administration to ensure that each campus has copies of its report card and has specific instructions for how to distribute them. In addition, central administration must ensure that district-level reporting (for federal) is completed, and the website is updated.
The 2023-24 State Report Cards were released at the same time as the 2024-25. The 2023-24 SRCs were released late due to lawsuits from districts contesting accountability results. Ultimately the courts found in favor of the State and released the report cards and accountability ratings. Regarding the STATE report cards, please be aware that there are TWO years to be released.
To locate the report cards, please navigate to the following websites:
School (State) Report Cards (SRC) – 2023-24 and 2024-25 School Report Cards
Federal Report Cards (FRC) - 2024-25 Federal Report Cards
What are the reporting requirements?

What are the deadlines?
School (State) Report Cards (SRC) – Within six weeks of TEA released which happened on 12/18/25
Federal Report Cards (FRC) – Per email clarification that CSS received from Vivian Smyrl, the Title I program director at TEA, the deadline is March 11, 2026.
As is the case with all legal requirements, documentation is important. School systems should document the date and method of distribution of both State and Federal report cards.
